Well, here I am, halfway to my goal. I now have over 15,000 words in this book! In this chapter, we get a glimpse into Jonathon's emotions, and get some more information as to Director Chester and Jennifer Hoffmann's relationship.... stay tuned!
Chapter 12 has been written! This chapter marks a very important point- This book is now half as long as Point A to Point B, in a fraction of the time! Anyways, back to the chapter. In this chapter, one of the main characters gets kidnapped! =o Who is it? Well, you'll just have to wait to find out.
Hello! I wrote Chapter 11 today! In it. we meet a man even higher up in rank than Deputy Director Roberts. Yep, the Director of the FBI. He's a rather ill-tempered man who likes to do everything by the book. There's only one person in the FBI with the guts to stand up to him: a young scientist by the name of Jennifer Hoffmann...
Stay tuned! Chapter Ten has been writ-ten! Little pun there...
Well, in Chapter 10, our heroes finally find out where to look for our villain. Argggg... I wish I could say more without giving spoilers! >_< Well, until next time, then. Chapter 9 has been written! I'm happy to say that this chapter puts me over the 10,000 word mark! In this chapter, I focus on our new villain. He's a rather interesting man. He's conceited, confident, and claims to not be mad. Well, we'll just see about that, now won't we? ;)
I have been interviewed! =D Jesse Rice, over at jessericebooks.blogspot.com has interviewified me! You can read the interview right here:
http://jessericebooks.blogspot.com/2014/01/author-interview-jeremiah-lang.html You may find some interesting behind-the-scenes information about the inspiration for Point A to Point B, some of my previous works, and even some future ones. ;) Well, Book 2 is shaping up fast! Chapter 8 was just written today. =] Nearly the entire chapter takes place at FBI headquarters in Washington, DC. What happens there? You'll just have to wait for the book!
I don't think I mentioned this before, but for this book, I've decided to make a weekly goal of 1,154 words- the equivalent of 30,000 words in 6 months. I set this goal with the idea that, with writing, when I set goals for myself, I find myself exceeding them. I'm happy to say that it's working! Chapter 8 was 1,171 words long, not to mention that I wrote Chapter 7(1,078 words) earlier this week, bringing me to a total of 2,249 words this week! Chapter 8 brings me very, very close to 10,000 words(9,714 words, to be exact). Which means I'm already nearly a third of the way to my goal! Though, quite honestly, I think I'll be exceeding 30,000 by quite a bit. I've barely even started the main plot! I totally forgot to update this. Point A to Point B IS available... and has been for, like, a week. =P Anyways, the listings are back up. So, yeah.
In other news, Book 2 is coming along nicely. Chapters 6 and 7 have been written! I'm very excited for the plotline that they begin. It's my Jonathon/Sabinski backstory. It's the story of something that happened several years ago... a tragedy that Jonathon caused. But what happened? Haha, that's where things get interesting. You don't get to know. >=] This is an announcement that the Point A to Point B print book listings will be going down for 24 hours or so while I make some changes. The Kindle edition should still be available, however. :) I will post again as soon as the listings are back up.
Thanks for your understanding, -Jeremiah Final word count: 1148
I'm quite happy with how this chapter turned out. In this chapter, we finally learn what Jake's sideplot is all about. And an old enemy shows his face, and he is bent on revenge. Why? Because of something Jonathon did to him three years ago... |
